Daily (Imitation)

Daily Imitation

By Jeremy Shaw

These working days,

Time taken, time used,

The only job worth it.

To do the expected job.

These many people,

Released to the joy

These bits of knowledge we covet

This school we all attend

This time we work all the way

Doing everything until it was correct

And even then, it is not enough

This place we go,

So we could learn

The ever rising standards

This time we all take

This word taken

This time used

Like the survival of the fittest

To the impossible

The days are noun: touch them

The hands are churches that worship the world

To the impossible

There is never anything that is impossible

It just takes longer.
